    Hello Anna!<div>

Thank you for your question. I am Cantika, Midwife from Indonesia 💕

In my everyday practice, especially for clients on going childbirth… I usually tell her… what you feel is something lovely and full of love. That’s what we’ve been waiting for all this time. The discomfort shouldn’t be scary or painful. It’s like having sex… the feeling of love, affection unites and feels incredibly comfortable.

Why is that? Because the hormone that is released is the same… namely the hormone oxytocin or what we can call the love hormone…<div>

I also explained logically regarding several ways to increase the hormone oxytocin… just like making love, is it comfortable if you make love brightly? No, right? Now! Likewise in our current condition… the way to improve it is to dim the room. It’s also okay to kiss, cuddle while playing gymball, communication with the uterus, the more you feel the waves of love, the more enjoyble the more comfortable the baby’s head is, the lower it goes down

So now how? Are you more accepting of the presence of this love hormone? And are you willing to have the lights dimmed?

And Alhamdulillah, all the clients that I explain to them like to be explained logically, simply and they are willing to do it.

A little sharing of things that I use related to the physiology of childbirth. Thankyou

Fantastic animation film! It’s so important to respect the physiology of birth. Teaching women in the antenatal period about the physiology of labour and how birth works is really helpful, then they can understand the birth process and work with their body. I also teach hypnobirthing and breathing techniques which are really helpful for when labour starts. Biomechanics for birth can also be useful to optimise physiology when there is issues with fetal position and delay in labour. Thanks for sharing this film.

I love this animation and use it during talks and workshops to demonstrate the impact of the environment and the actions we take. It’s a perfect reminder of the important hormonal influence on labour and birth.
