Hello Jane! Lovely to connect here. I’m based in the UK, trained in the North West of England. I feel so lucky to have met so many global midwives last year especially, in Bali and Athens. It’s incredibly important for us to understand the global context of midwifery within the different regions of the world, beginning to understand the nuances, challenges and successes of practicing midwifery. I think one of the major challenges is being able to use full scope autonomous practice and the bio medical paradaigm.
